Asus is a much better company than Asrock in the first place (Customer service, reviews etc.) ANd the M5A99FX is currently cheaper for more features. If you overclock the 7950 it can beat an overclocked GTX 770. And 3 free games is still 180~ dollars saved of games he might eventually buy.

Trust me, I know how you feel. I felt the same when I built my PC 2 weeks ago. But don't listen to all that nonsense that people tell you about your card dying. You can even keep it at stock voltages and get better performance than the 770. I'm not fanboying, I am just stating a fact.
