Thank you both for the recommendation. It was either the monitor crapped out, it kept turning off too quickly, or the cable was bad. I swapped the monitor and the cable... it booted.

Hi All, Got a new build going and am having trouble with connecting the graphics card to the PSU. Basically, the 6x2 end of the cable (that came with the PSU)...only 6 pins will fit despite the card having an 8 pin port. I didn't think I should just plug in the 6 pins and leave the other two...

I meant that the processor didn't seem to be an issue because I could boot into the bios.

It was working fine until I replaced the cooler. Tried replacing the RAM with another stick from another computer. Didn't change the problem.

I did that already..made sure no pins were bent and that everything looked legit.

They are all the way down...the problem is that even with them down, the backplate is still loose. When I tried installing the thumb screws / bracket, the backplate was still loose. The standoff screws need to be about 1-2 mm longer to pull the board firmly against the MOBO
