I agree if you can't get a new processor get a gtx 1060 because right now the 1070s price is up way too high.

Honestly, you may be able to get PLAYABLE framerates at 4k, but your cpu will be really holding you back, I would get an i5 if i were you, its not worth throwing away all that performance because of your old cpu

Hi, my hp envy dv6 laptop's hard drive recently failed and i need to get it replaced, I was looking at hard drives and am considering a SSD. I know that there are laptop versions but I wan't to know it will work/fit before I buy a 100$ Hard Drive/SSD.

So I have a i5 4690k and a gtx 1060, and my fps is fine when im not in gunfights, but as soon as bullets and lots of smokes/molotovs my fps drops below 144, which dosent seem bad but i have a 144hz monitor and it really messes my aim up. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I don't think the cpu is the problem all the cores are being used above 60% its just the gpu not being used enough.
