SSD Wear Indicator is at 80; Average, Max and Total Erase Count values are 207, 245 and 88391, respectively. Everything in decimal values.
For reference, drive's a little over three years old and has been powered on for 15,000+ hours.
I'm starting to have second thoughts about whether the health is calculated properly on my Kingston SA400 SSD. I have the 240 GB model which has a TBW of 80TB. Even though I've written over 22 TB (which is more than 27% of the advertised TBW) it's been stuck at 80% for a while. Are there other...
I ditched my old Cat 5 cable and replaced with a Cat 6 and the issue still persists so I don't think the problem's there. Unless I'm extremely unlucky and purchased a defective cable.
Anyway, capping the adapter to 100 Mbps seems to work. I had no drops in the last 24 hours which is a lot...
Well setting it to 1Gbps Full Duplex didn't work. Trying 100 Mbps Full Duplex now.
At this point I'm thinking in a bad router or the adapter going under. I will keep you posted.
Thank you for all the help so far!
Ok, I think I figured it out.
For some reason the adapter is flip-flopping between 100 and 1000 Mbps, and it appears it's the root cause of the drops. I just went to Device Manager, selected the Network Adapter, went to Properties and then the Advanced tab. From there I selected Speed & Duplex...
Hello,
I kinda need a hand with this. This issue has been present since at least early 2021, but it's escalated to the point where it happens pretty much everyday. It's also survived across three Windows clean installs, and as stated in title WiFi connection is unaffected (I'm wired on my...
Yeah, I'll do that, since I don't trust the front ports anymore.
Unfortunately my country's economy is not doing well. Unless the PC dies completely, I prefer to avoid an entire new build.
For now, thank you for your time!
Forgot to say something - there are also a headphone and microphone jack. Both aren't work properly. Probably the whole front case is going bad.
Edit: should I be worried about the rear ports? They are functional and as I said those errors don't appear very often.
Hello, thanks for that fast reply!
The front ports are on case and I agree they're definitely going bad - I used to plug my external hard drive there, but nowadays I can't do that anymore. I saw a connector going from the front case directly to the motherboard, but visually it appears to be...
Hello there,
I've been getting this error for a while and I can't really tell what's going on:
The driver detected a controller error in \Device\Harddisk1\DRX.
With X being a random number.
Harddisk1 is tied to whatever external device I plug in - in my particular case I've got two:
KINGSTON...
