It really comes down to preferences. Red is said to be good for gaming because pressing a key takes little force, but blue has advantages too. For example, with blue switches it is easy to tell when you press a button so there isn't any confusion about whether a keypress registered.

I would recommend the R9 280, just because it has 3GB of video memory compared to the 7770 which has 1GB. 1GB isn't going to cut it for some newer games (such as Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor).

Are you plugged into a usb 3.0 port? (usb 3.0 ports are blue) When my wireless keyboard is plugged into usb 3.0, I can't access the boot manager. So maybe that is your problem? have you tried plugging into other ports? Is the port you are plugged into on the front? If so, the usb header cable...

You might try going into your firewall to see if port 80 (http) is being blocked?

Save data isn't usually stored in the game folder. Try looking in your 'C:\users\"your username"\documents\my games' on your Windows 8 desktop for the NFS: shift folder. Then just copy that folder to the same place on your laptop.
