I just got a evga gt 240 512 ddr5 video card. However in device manager and dxdiag it says 1Gb. Is there some way to verify the memory type ddr2, ddr3 etc. Or does ddr5 memory just show up as a larger amount.

You may have already done this but I have to put it out there. Just did a similar thing wit a GT 240 and I had the same problem, no picture. All I did was using the input button on my TV remote control , i switched input from HDMI 1 to TV waited a sec then switched back actually did a few...
