Thanks for the link but I'm really confused. When I checked the settings in the Power Management it says sleep mode is on never which doesn't make sense. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks

nope its not there, yea i really hope the ide controller didn't die, im so fragile with it... im gonna try resetting the bios/cmos hopefully it works, until then, any imput?
