The old one I replaced was CX750M, which is modular. I replaced it with the CX750. I had ran the card for so long on the cx750m without issue even with OC. I did upgrade motherboard/cpu and ram recently but still I think over a month or more running fine.

So it may be that the motherboard simply can't supply enough power for i5 anymore rather than the i5 being damaged when mosfet burnt out?

Ok I will do that. But do you have any explanation for why I can still run the board with no problems using the i3 13100f?
