[SOLVED] Are these BIOS settings problematic?

Bump. The only difference between the settings I have had for the last year, and these, are that I just turned XMP profile 1 on. And while I drop frames still occasionally, they return back to normal and it is only brief unlike previously. But I don't know if the settings are "safe" or if I am...

[SOLVED] Are these BIOS settings problematic?

I have recently had what appeared to be a 980 Ti die, so I put a 1070 in and it posted where the 980 ti wouldn't but I still have a lot of the issues the 980 ti showed before dying (stuttering at high frames, crashing frequently and sudden mass drops in frames from 200+ to below 140). I did a...

    Game stuttering at high frames.

OK, long post coming up: I use to have a 980 ti in my system, for a good long while it started giving stutters and crashes a bit too much for my liking, I tried a lot to fix it but Messing with settings and fresh installing Windows didn't help. Gradually it got worse over time until it died...

Restoring Windows 10 to fresh with just a few important files

Hello I have found that my PC will boot up and play games fine for a short while, but after being on an hour or so (particularly if I don't game on it in that time), games start to get choppy despite high frame rates, like it is stuttering. And on few occasions the frames drop. However the temps...

    Best £350 GPU

Recently, my 980ti has been crashing a lot and I think it's about done for any real use consistently. The problem is I don't have much free income atm to go for a significant upgrade like a rtx 2070. So if I have £350 or £400 at a push, what is the best card. I think it would limit me to the...

My PC displayed the picture purple briefly.

Well the problem stopped for a few weeks. It has now returned and I am fairly sure it is the monitor. I have a Samsung QLED curved 24" VA panel. The issue can last a few minutes and then instantly returns to normal. Checkedd the cables and connections and nothing seems to be loose.

My PC displayed the picture purple briefly.

What could cause this? I turned my monitor on with the system already up and running, the screen looked normal but quickly started to wash out and get blurry with a strong purple tint all over. Then after a few seconds it just went back to normal. If the effect lingered I would assume it was a...

Alienware 15R3 and 17R4, which one should I choose?

Long shot, but did you ever get the Alienware 15 r3? I too noticed some recommendations to look elsewhere due to thermal issues. But it seems then most people don't even realise they have an issue, because the system is widely reviewed as a very good and high performance machine. So either the...
