are you running the 32 bit obs? if your OS is 64 bit, use the 64 bit OBS, it will run much faster. the 64 bit obs will be located in program files, NOT program files (x86)

Does your CPU have built in graphics? some cpu's do not offer display, and require you to get a video card.
