Is there much difference upgrading to skylake?

Yeah the i5 would probably be the smart option. Couldnt afford the 980 at the minute but maybe in the future

I have a fx 8320 and a sapphire r9 290 currently but i could upgrade at christmas but only really the cpu and mobo or the gpu. What upgrade would be best for me for gaming.:)

Lately I have been having loads of bsod, mostly while playing games so I tried loads of things and even reinstalled Windows but I still get them. Yesterday I tried memtest for my first time and got 5 passes and 146 errors so I take it my ram was the problem?

Thanks rvilkman I think I will go for the Asus as I don't have enough money for the 990. Do You know if the Asus will work out off the box or will I need a bios update?

I'm looking for a cheap but reliable motherboard. I was looking at a Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 and a Gigabyte 970A-DS3P would these work without having to update bios. I probably won't overclock and if I do it will be 4.2 at the most. Give me other suggestions if you think they would be better. Thanks

I did fresh instal Windows. I don't think it is my psu as it is a few weeks old corsair cx750m

I recently got a Asus m5a 78l-m and a 8320 they boot up and work as they should and then out of no where they restart. I want to know what is causing this and how to fix it. Is it my mobo or the cpu?

Just got these new and it's started all fans everything but nothing on the display. Anything I can do or are they not compatible

I have been given a fx 8320 by my friend and I am getting a msi 870s -c45(fx) by another friend. The msi website said that the 8150 is compatable but not the 8320, has anyone tried this or reckon it would work? I'm new to this and trying to keep the price low. help would be great
