With that kind of money you can get a great Lga2011 build and sli 680gtx's, it all depends on how far you are going to go. I personally got my build with around 2.5k but I think its more future proof than a 2600k or 2700k when multicore games come out http://www.squidoo.com/lensmasters/mauros34

No way you can overclock it without changing at least the voltages. Theirs some great guides on overclocking the 2600k.Check them out but be causious if you havent overclocked before.
