I have a 6700k at 4.7ghz on an ASUS MAXIMUS VIII HERO board. In BiOS I set the voltage to 1.285V and according to CPU-Z, it idles at 1.309V, and will randomly drop as low as 1.22V and spike as high as 1.37V

No solution. Sometimes it will disconnect and sometimes it won't. In the recent weeks though it has not disconnected even once so I never even found out what the issue was and I guess it resolved itself.

I uninstalled all of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and downloaded the most recent one off of Microsoft's site, ran CCleaner once more and re installed the Xb1 controller drivers. The message still pops up.
