Custom VS Prebuilts -- Help me prove my point!

My friends wont believe me that it's immensely better to buy a custom PC. My friend is spending $1900 and wants to buy one of these http://www.amazon.com/Microtel-Computer%C2%AE-AMTI9090-Processor-Microsoft/dp/B004JPUH8M/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1396128772&sr=1-4&keywords=gaming+computer...

Cybertron Vs Dell. Is this system good enough for my purposes?

If you buy the pieces of the shockwave one seperately, you can save $200-$300. Spend $900 and build it yourself and you can get a very good computer.

    $300 Video Editing PC

If you're building a video editing pc it would be a good idea to spend $300 on the graphics card..not the computer. That's way too little.

(Budget raised on 3/18/2014 10:48 PM originally was 300$) 500$(or less) Desktop PC for gaming (Preferably from newegg.com)

Dont buy a computer that cheap. Save a couple hundred more and get a better one. If you HAVE to get a computer..http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1453602

First time desktop builder. Does everything look ok?

You can get a much better build if you buy an AMD Cpu+MOBO combo from a Microcenter http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MAKroll/saved/3MPv

Need the cheapest build possible for Minecraft at 30+ Fps at medium settings

I really doubt the A10 can play BF4 at max with the integrated graphics card. It can certainly play Minecraft, but I doubt it would play BF4 at max.

Looking to spend $500-$600 No OS, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, or Optical drive. Used mostly Gaming (I know it wont play high end games) and Photoshop. SSD would be nice but not necessary. Already made a list that im sure someone more knowledgable can critique. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2NxKa
