"Wait, where did you source the pen drive from?" I got the usb from windows themselves in that small package you get when you buy the software, but it seems like it doesnt work anymore

Recently i tried to reinstal windows completely but when i went to boot it from the same usb stick i used the first time i booted it, it doesnt work. Any ideas? Can i wipe the usb and reinstall windows on it from their website and reformat it again? If so how should i step by step do that?
