    New to overclocking.

I didn't do any voltage changes so it's just running the default setting the motherboard came with. I pushed the bus speed to around 265. With the E5200's 12.5 multiplier that calculates out to 3313 mhz speed. The only other BIOS setting I had to change was to unlink the FSB with the...

    Overclocking e5200

The link I had posted above seems broken, so here's a better link below: http://www.maximumpc.com/article/overclock_your_pc The page I was refering to about that discusses "Step 6: To Overclock RAM or Not?" is on page 3.

    Overclocking e5200

Just for the fun of it, I ran some speed comparisons between my e5200 dual core system against my q6600 quad. For that, I choose some video encoding work that would load up all the cores nearly fully at work throughout the task (peg all the CPU's be it 2 or 4 close to 100%). I found a 30...

    Overclocking e5200

For original poster: I can't really tell if you did it or not from the information you provided, so I'll just toss this out there just in case it is something you may have missed. When you overclock by raising the front side bus speeds (as normal for the E5200), the CPU speed goes up along...
