    If you are really intent on a dual GPU card of this caliber though, I can't help but assume that Nvidia will be releasing a new one at some point in the near future (maybe Q2 of 2014). And rumors of a dual R9-290x or R9-290 card are already surfacing, though I doubt AMD will be able to cool it...

    Yeah a 650 would be a good option for sure, I believe After Effects can make use of CUDA, so Nvidia is probably the way to go.
