News Nvidia's poor RTX 50 compute test results due to missing 32-bit OpenCL support, says PassMark

18000 points? Omg. It isn't hard to tell people what they want to hear, and knock it out of the park with points. What is hard is being an individual thinker, and doing it even when found unpopular.

News AMD appears unlikely to sell reference Radeon RX 9070, RX 9070 XT GPUs

They will need time. They are a few years back, and don't have the foresight to see beyond their own boot. No doubt it is right there though with new releases. The pattern is apparent, to those who can see a pattern.

News RTX 5070 Ti restocks expected within 2-6 weeks, says UK retailer — All sold out on launch day

Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price. Doesn't at all imply entitlement to a price. Arizona Tea often as a 99c msrp but isn't sold for 99c at every store. Sometimes as high as $3.50 That's life. The quicker people shed their entitlement, the better off they will be.

News RTX 5080 is allegedly only 17% faster than RTX 5070 Ti, according to 3DMark benchmarks

Yeah what a shocker one benchmark shows 84 SMs as 17% faster than 70 SMs.

News Newegg reintroduces scalper-beating 'Shuffle' lottery for premium-priced RTX 5080s

Oh people are still not getting it. Slow learners. These are AI GPUs, gamers aren't necessary for success. AI, scalpers, then desperate gamers. "Gamers" dug their own hole through desperation, and if not desperate, jealous/entitled. And/or all of the above. We both know gamers entitlement is...

News TSMC and Intel rumors stoke Taiwanese fears of losing the 'Silicon Shield

Intel in the US... or TSMC in Taiwan/AZ... As a US citizen, who should I root for... hmmm... Save Taiwan at all costs. Give them whatever they need!

News Official RTX 4090 power cable found melted by reviewer 2 years later — card functioned fine despite hidden melted connector

Squid cable did. I eventually bought the updated Superflower cable. In both cases, with both cables, been running a 4090 for 2 plus years with no issue. DF has no issues, Asmongold has ran a 4090 for years. Hardware Unboxed... idk what is going on with these people and melting connectors I only...

News Nvidia's new tech reduces VRAM usage by up to 96% in beta demo — RTX Neural Texture Compression looks impressive

No matter what Nvidia does, it is always the same. Frame generation? Fake frames. Lossless scaling? AFMF? Soo amazing and game changing. I think its become apparent that Nvidia owners spend most of their time gaming, and AMD owners spend more of their time all about sharper text and comment...

News AMD CEO confirms the RX 9070 series will arrive in early March — Promises 4K mainstream gaming

FSR on par with DLSS... you know I've never seen a version of FSR that wasn't the new "DLSS killer". The fans held too, until credible reviewers were like eh no, not this one either. Since 9070s have been stocked up and waiting on Nvidia, and so many are assuming that AMD with 1 year of ML is...

News Nvidia counters AMD DeepSeek benchmarks, claims RTX 4090 is nearly 50% faster than 7900 XTX

It's all about the price 2 performance ratio to way too many caught up in the spreadsheets. If I had to pay $5 per frame for 120fps, vs $3 per frame for 30fps, I would save my money up and take the 120fps. What the heck am I really going to do with an average 30fps GPU? Clunkity clunk perhaps...

News U.S. investigates whether DeepSeek smuggled Nvidia AI GPUs via Singapore

I'm going to go on a limb here... all those people who bought 4090s and only got the PCB, was because the actual chips went to China. How do they track that? China can get the boards, it was only the chips that were banned.

News Nvidia's RTX 50-series drivers feel half-baked, focus too much on MFG

I have, for a couple years now on a 4090. DLSS FG was my favorite feature. Not just for getting beyond CPU bottlenecks/limitations either, but even being the reason early on that you could stay at a native resolution, over upscaling, and use the DLSS FG feature to get to the right level of...

News Intel i9-14900KF overclocker clinches CPU frequency world record at 9.12 GHz — Wytiwx joins Elmor as the only person to push a CPU past 9 GHz

It is meant to be good at everything, not a niche CPU. If people use their PCs as consoles, I completely understand. It doesn't make that scenario the end all be all for everyone though. It's bad enough how many people I see with 9800x3ds and a GPU a half decade old trying to get 60fps at 4k...

News AMD says Intel's 'horrible product' is causing Ryzen 9 9800X3D shortages

Good post, I agree. Also with the direction Nvidia is going, you'll be able to generate 240fps without even needing the CPU to prepare more than 60-120. For a "gaming CPU" and not a productivity CPU, its kind of becoming obsolete for the future already. For people running the highest end CPU...
