On the money with the diagnosis that the i3 8100 doesn’t support 2666. I bought 16gbs of 2400 and it worked like a charm! Build finished. Op system installed. Thanks!

I see. I was under the impression that the 2666 would work with i3, just would clock down to the CPU max of 2400. That could be my problem.

Not at first! I thought for sure that was the problem. The board only has a 4 pin connection for the ATX 12V so only one of the two CPU power connetors is plugged in. I don’t have the GPU installed right now. Figured would be simpler to get things rolling using just the motherboard.
