check yellow exclamation marks in device manager? Can you try to install from there? Do you have all necesary win 7 updates needed? or try another version of the driver. (Are you sure the one you are trying to use is compatible with win win 7? )

Can you do a system restore in safe mode? can you check event viewer and minidumps?does the blue screen have a *.dll mentioned or another file? What is the exact blue screen ? Did you updated a driver by any chance?

Did he had another card installed? Did you uninstall it first? Are you installing via device manager? Have you tried in safe mode?

Try ccleaner, malwarebytes, check your processes tab in task manager, and get rid of weird stuff and stuff you don't need in msconfig startup and services. Does it do the same in safe mode? Installed anything recent ? something maybe too new for xp to handle, or did some changes? Anything weird...

Try K lite full codec pack...see if it works or different flash player versions.... Also see if it works in another browser like Chrome, Opera,

Does it do the same in safe mode? If this is recent, try a system restore. Did you do some software/hardware changes last few days? Check event viewer, minidumps , you can also install Process explorer and blue screen viewer to see a few stuff.

Can you access cmd? Try taking out battery, and press power button for 30 seconds, then try again. Or see if not a battery issue, remove battery and just try leaving on power cord.
