Sound wise it feels like it's when theres too many source playing sound at the same time ( spotify, game, discord all at once )

Motherboard is brand new from this year. Idk how to "see" if its bad or anything and im not using cables for sound. Its usb wireless for one of the pair i tried but the cabled ones do it as well.

I was watching videos before bed. Then suddenly my screen and peripherals(mouse,keyboard and headset have rgb) all turned off but the computer was still running. Holding the power button didnt shut it down either. Waited. Nothing changed. Only way I got it to shut down was the power switch on...

And the new cpu should be fine still right? Like since it didnt boot up and was just not compatible the new i7 8700k is fine to be used on a new mobo?

Board aint dead, it still works w the i7 7700.

The socket is 1151. Should fit and work , the i7 7700 is not a K, it;s the normal one, the 8700k is tho.

The motherboard is a Pre-built ASUS ROG republic of gamer poop , the socket fits , maybe chipset yea.

So, I switch an i7 7700 to an i7 8700k and when I tried powering the pc it didn't give any signs of life. I reseted the CMOS , then I took off the battery and put it back on , tried to reinstall it multiple times w new paste and each time no sign of power nowhere in the pc ... Help?
