All right, I took it to the retailer. They said they needed to see the bus to 266 so that it can post, and that they were supposed to bring it back up to 333 after they set everything up. They forgot to do the last part.
It's now functioning properly. Thank you very much to everyone for all of...
OKAY I downloaded Orthos, set it up, ran it concurrently with CPU-Z.
Using Orthos, the multiplier goes from 6 to 9, so the clock speed its 2399mhz. So looks like it's the bus, and whoever set up my system took the short one heh heh.
I'll make this short and sweet.
I bought an e6850. I wasn't terribly impressed with the performance.
I downloaded the Intel Processor ID utility.
My expected speed is 3.0ghz, 1333FSB.
My actual speed for BOTH cores is 2.39ghz, 1066FSB.
L2 cache memory for each core is 4MB.

Please guys, enough with the translators. :P
I am going to clarify my position on Dell: They are GREAT for super cheapo systems, and maybe laptops. Otherwise it's better to build it yourself.

Your neighborhood PC store can't sell systems for the prices that Dell does because Dell buys millions of parts, and therefore gets a huge disccount on them. The local store might have better quality and better performing machines, but they'll be AT LEAST 100 euros more than Dell.
"Passing on...
My point was missed. Here it is in big bold letters:
Buying from a PC Hardware Store (which builds the system and installs the OS and drivers for you, all you have to do is plug and play) is far, far better than Dell for the following reasons:
- Better Price
- Better Parts
- Better Performance...
This is where you are wrong. You can buy from a PC Hardware store which builds the system on site and gives a warranty ranging from 1 to 4 years. All of this, BETTER PARTS, BETTER SERVICE, BETTER PRICE than Dell and it's just as easy to install.
Because as a former DELL customer with 3 (three) of their systems, I have learned just how much they have ripped me off.
5 years ago their customer service was second-to-none. Now, it's a never-ending string of transfers from one department to the next, with every one of those transfers...
