Question Two RAM sticks with different frequency, but same capacity and manufacturer, what will happen?

So... I have 2 RAM sticks, I'm going to replace one of them with the another one because I have a faulty RAM stick. So I'm going to buy a RAM stick from the same manufacturer but it has a different frequency (my current sticks have 2666 and this one has 3200), what will happen? Capacity and...

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

Hi, I ran memtest86 and it found errors. I tried it with the timings stated above and without them. This did not solve my problem. However, now I know that's the errors reason is my RAM. Or can it be a motherboard which doesn't work correctly with memory for some reason? Errors were found after...

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

I also have updated drivers for LAN, HD Audio and Wifi/Bluetooth adapter (finally got them from the official website). And also I've found a suggestion to change RAM settings to the following ones: I did not find the ram multiplier option though. But the guy who wrote this has similar RAM...

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

Just now my PC BSoDed once again, now with the code SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. But here's no minidump or MEMORY.DMP anywhere. In the Event Viewer here's a message: "The previous shutdown of the system at 2:37:24 on 04/23/2022 was unexpected." But that record added and bsod happened not at...

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

Is there any universal settings for RAM? Or is it a thing that needs different settings for each model? My iCUE app says the following: DRAM frequency: 1066.0 MHz (I don't know why, my RAM is designed to be used on 2666 MHz as it's page on the shop website says, and also Task Manager says that...

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

So... some memory errors may appear due to incorrect settings and such errors can be fixed via memory settings in bios? It's something like timings and XMP thing? I've never changed any of them. But anyway, I guess I should do memtest86 (as soon as I'll be able to) first. And also, shall I...

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

Hi, I've changed the pagefile.sys location to my another drive. How long usage of the memtest86 would take and what should I do if it will find some errors? Edit: so if I understand everything right, most likely the reasons of BSoDs was my SSD? And if so, since I moved the pagefile.sys file...

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

Ok, that's sounds wise. How long would it take for memtest86 to test all my RAM? And what should I do if it will find some issues in my RAM? Edit: I don't think my PC has got attacked by malware. Never installed something suspicious, and never disabled my Windows Defender. Also I have the same...

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

Hi faalin, I had Win10 2004 and Win10 21H1 in before. But in before I tried to update from 21H1 to 21H2 (as far as I remember), and that went into a trouble, for some reason my PC was bsoding after a minute of usage on every boot. Built-in restore functions did not help so I had to re-install...

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

No-no, I'm glad to see that you guys are helping me with the BSoDs, I found this forum way more useful than the official Microsoft forums. I'm sorry if you thought that my messages are rude, like I said I don't know English natively and I don't want to be rude with anyone here. :)

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

Yes, copy protection, this is the thing I meant. Sorry I don't know English by native. Anyway, that's seems to be an off-topic, the copy protection thing is a problem, but it is not so hard to be solved, I just don't want to mess with all that stuff now because I'm working on something big and...

Question BSODs with different codes, always happens suddenly ?

I was talking about some VST plugins. I don't have to re-purchase licenses after replacing a SSD, but I have to contact their developers to ask for transfer license from one SSD serial number to another. The same thing happens with my DAW (FL Studio), though. Not a real problem as I don't need...
