It's a cracked codex version of a game. I downloaded it from a website

I have a compressed bin file. I tried different ways to extract it: winrar, 7zip, file explorer's inbuilt extract option. But it fails all the time, displaying different error message: checksum error, archive is corrupt, etc. Is there a right way to extract it properly?

I have some doubts Is it possible to somehow restore the health of my hdd? What's bad sector? Something that can be solved using chkdsk, softwares, etc?

That's my doubt. Whether the interfaces for the 2 drives (which I've mentioned) are same? If so, will they work fine when interchanged?
