    Upgrading motherboard and CPU

An AMD APU would be faster than the GT610 regardless and you could always add something else in the future should you require it. What's your budget?

    Is this motherboard fine?

Hi piplupmania, It depends on what you want it for, what is the purpose of your build, or is it to replace an existing one? This board is an excellent budget board though if you're looking to put together a cheap PC for HTPC use or something similar.

If i switch out my friends hdd drive with my own in his computer will it have effect bad?

Hi There You can do that over a LAN easily enough I do it all the time. Or if they're in different locations, why not simply get a large USB Stick to copy the games you've downloaded to it to take to your PC Note if you don't own the game this is considered piracy and piracy is bad...

Looking for sub-£100/$100 GPU. Best for cheapest.

You can get a 7950 from Ebay for about £95 (Radeon 280) or a 7970 (280X) if you're lucky for about the same price.

20/4 pin Motherboard Connector Problem (PLEASE HELP!!)

It will only beep if there's a PC Speaker connected on the front panel connector area, not all boards have one built in. Have you connected the rest of the front panel headers or are you shorting the connectors for an outside case test?

20/4 pin Motherboard Connector Problem (PLEASE HELP!!)

That's a very old board - it has a 20-pin input for main power, the second 4-pin that's in front of it will need to be the separate 4-pin coming from the PSU On the right-hand side, half way down on this pic of that board:

EVGA B2 750w good for gtx 970 SLI?

750W Should cover it as the 970 draws less than 150W a card. Total system load under 500W for SLi 980's here and they draw more power: http://uk.hardware.info/reviews/5623/11/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-sli--3-way-sli--4-way-sli-review-test-results-power-consumption

    Smaller size card

How odd. You can use PCI-E devices of smaller types in larger slots as they're all electrically compatible, simply means the card doesn't require them all. There's a few of these about is your card made by Palit by any chance?

    Need a cheap, fast, HDD!

Depends how much space you need really. If you don't need loads of space get a 120GB SSD to record to?
