    First off I don't consider this as a portable travel router as good as tplink wr702n, then I suspect the heat will be as much as hurting you when read/white speed is fast, also the 5000mAh would not be sufficient to fully charge up an iPad, could probably only charge half its power.

    My network speed keeps dropping down after using a regular wifi repeater, I was told by some guys that it's normal because usually a repeater uses the same radio/frequency (2.4GHz) to accept incoming and outgoing packets from clients as it does to forward those packets on to the next wifi router...

    Will a dual band repeater be a solution to the speed issue? From what I know, it's likely to receive data in one frequency and send out in the other, hence speed will not be cut in half.

    Can anybody tell me why a wireless N repeater is droping down the network speed?

    I observed the N repeater slows down my connection from15 Mbps to 8 Mbps, measured on the same computer, same location, just switching from connecting directly to my router to the repeater. Can anybody explain to me why would this happen? is it a normal case?
