PSU Blew Out, Now Mobo Won't Bleep When Booting + No Display

Thanks a lot for the help here guys, massively massively appreciated. Everything appears to be working okay and somehow survived the PSU exploding... I'll monitor temperatures closely going forward in case there's some unseen damage. I Can't thank you both enough for talking me through here.

PSU Blew Out, Now Mobo Won't Bleep When Booting + No Display

Unfortunately can't recall the brand but it definitely wasn't a particularly well esteemed one - it was a 500watts job that had run perfectly fine with an HD6770 and then an HD7770 but blew out when trying to run with an R9 270. I have removed the GPU and tried booting after connecting the...

I popped over to his house and replaced the HDD and added some more ram, though had the dreaded acer black screen of death problem and went...

    GA-78LMT-S2P and the AMD FX4130

Hi there, I just finished building my dad a PC (first time builder) and noticed that my CPU clocked speed was significantly lower than retailed: the 4130 is supposed to clock at 3.8 with mine coming in at 2.8. Having looked around a bit, I've seen this might be something to do with combining...
