Yeahhh, i think you might be onto something there GhislainG. put it in the good computer this morning and it works fine. It is set to AHCI in bios.

using hd tune pro, ive had a look at the error scan and it came up fine, and the crc errors is a count on the errors in the SSD lifetime, so im wondering if its not that. running a few benchmarks at the moment

Did that on my good computer, using a second sata cable i still get the same data values as on problemed pc, however when removing SSD from good pc, no "attention" is found. So does that mean my SSD is stuffed?

used HD TUNE PRO from hirens boot cd, have an "attention" status in (C7) Interface CRC Error Count, current 100, Worst 100, Threshold 50, Data 1 not sure what it means to be honest though
