[SOLVED] System Reserved Partition Too Small

Yes the data on the old HDD was way under 200GB when I installed the ssd last fall. I wasn't sure if I needed to shrink the old C: drive partition first. My version of Acronis is pretty old.

[SOLVED] System Reserved Partition Too Small

I used Acronis True Image Home (2009). It must have shrunk the system reserved partition to the size it is now. Prior to doing that I shrunk the old C; partition on the 500GB hard drive to a smaller size so everything would fit onto the new 240GB SSD. I'm thinking I should have chose "backup...

[SOLVED] System Reserved Partition Too Small

OK, I will try this tomorrow after making a clone of the current drive for backup. Do I delete the existing 31MB system reserved partition? If not how will I know if the system is booting from the newly created one?

[SOLVED] System Reserved Partition Too Small

[SOLVED] Is AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Too Outdated to Purchase Currently?

Thanks for the input. I just checked the spec's on AMD's site and maximum RAM frequency is 2933 Mhz. I guess I will have to check the Motherboard's site for the MB I am considering for the RAM QVL list.

[SOLVED] Is AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Too Outdated to Purchase Currently?

That's good advice, but I have found from past research that the QVL's aren't always updated from the initial list. I will check it out.

[SOLVED] Is AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Too Outdated to Purchase Currently?

Thanks for the reply, InvalidError. From what little research I have done so far, there seemed to be some initial confusion as to the RAM frequency the processor would support. PCpartpicker did not throw a warning on their compatibility check when I selected DDR4 3200, so maybe they have that...

[SOLVED] Is AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Too Outdated to Purchase Currently?

I've noticed that Newegg has the cpu on sale for $134.99. It looks like a pretty good processor based on the Passmark scores. My current rig has an AMD FX6300 processor. I don't do anything too cpu intensive with my computer. Normally about 8 tabs open on one monitor and live or recorded TV...
