I've had 2 monitors for a while, both are connected into my GPU (GTX 1060 6GB) my newer one is connected via some kind of HDMI lead but it isn't a regular one (I don't remember what the model is called) and the other is connected via a DVI to DVI-D adaptor as my GPU doesn't have a DVI port...
