Build issue - conntecting case fans to psu/mobo

Thanks akhilles/wr2 So as I understand it, I can daisy chain the 4 fans off one 4 pin molex rail from the PSU (is there a way to know what voltage is from this rail?), and let the CPU fan use the CPU fan connector. Other components, such as HDD and DVD should have their own separate connection...

Build issue - conntecting case fans to psu/mobo

I have dual 6 pin power connector on the gpu. My PSU has two 6 pin power 'holes' off to the side that I can connect them to, I think.

Components: PSU: Corsair HX 620 MoBo: GA-P35_DS3R Chassis: Antec 900 GPU: 8800GTX Hi all. I have some build questions about connecting the chassis fans to power , and also my 8800gtx to whatever power source I need to connect it to. I have 4 fans on the 900 that I need connected, however my...

Will i be able to run my system overclocking the E2160?

As far as power requirements, at the end of the first post here is a link to an estimated power-usage calculator, and good PSU tips/info. Also in the PSU section of the forum, there is a thred about $78 Corsair 520watt system - might be worth reading about. You'll be able to run the e2160...

    Have I damaged my e2160?

if you have the 4-4-4-12-2t memory, it boots up at JEDEC voltage specs, which is lower than the EPS rated 2.1 for that memory (I think JEDEC specs for DDR2 is 1.8v? Anyone correct me if I'm wrong). If your memory is the 5-5-5-12-2t version, then the voltage is 1.9v. So as Colster said, it may...

    Best e2180 OC combination?

give it a shot, run some tests and tell us what you find out. Not trying to be rude, but I think that is the best way to know for sure, since every system is different. :)

    Have I damaged my e2160?

I tried researching this board online, and there really isn't much written about it. Some individuals commented about a version 1.3 bios that fixed some issues, but that was almost 5-6 months ago now. Maybe the 300mhz to 400mhz jump damaged something, if the voltage went high enough. On that...

    Have I damaged my e2160?

I think if you're idling and you have the power saving options on (speedstep and C1E I believe their called, please correct me if I'm wrong anyone) it will bring your multiplier down to save on the power draw. Then when you're under load it will put it up again to serve whatever apps are using...

    E2140 vs E2160?

Plekto - do life expectancy issues come about for all processors after about 30-40% OC? I was wondering about that with my upcoming e2180 that I'm planning on Oc'ing over 3ghz...

    E2140 vs E2160?

I read another individual suggesting the 7900 as a good gpu since it is top of the line for dx9, and apparently dx10 cards (ie nvidia 8 series) still have a few issues with them.
