hi faalin the temps above are with XMP enabled. Ambient temp approx 23 C. XMP as i nderstand it increases cpu temp? Yes at stock without XMP enabled my cpu is around those temps (32ish).

You could try disabling your audio (realtek for example) drivers in device manager. I have the krakens and have learned to disable all other audio drivers on my system such as realtek and AMD HDMI drivers if you have them. Other than that I am sure that razer can help you if you open a support...

Well all is solved by the looks of things. I rebuilt my system yesterday with the ROG maximus vii ranger and enabled XMP without any problems at all!! So after all the heartache it was the Z97-a with the issue!
