dont cheap on an fx cpu, put that massive motherboard cost towards a nice intel and get a cheaper board to go with it. I have a crosshair v fz and its not much better than the cheap intel "gaming" boards

this should work fine, what gpu tho? also if you could get a 6700k for less then go for it. Zen cpu's are supposed to have improved streaming performance for less, so if you want you could wait for them.

while it could be done, I wouldnt reccommend it. That laptop would struggle to run multiple displays, even though the dock supports them. I would suggest getting a small form factor desktop, or even 3 cheap android TV boxes (nexus player is pretty capable and ive seen them as cheap as $25)

sounds like a decent upgrade, the 8300 doesn't produce too much heat so you can probably cheap out on the cooler.
