I give all the credit for its stability to Gigabyte. Great motherboards.

Voltage was a meager 1.27 and I was using Buffalo Firestix PC6400 @ 2.1 volts. Ran it that way for over a year, no issues. I didn't have to touch FSB or NB. Just CPU and Ram.

I had my E6300 running at over 2100FSB on a P35 chipset. 1500 shouldn't be a problem.

It doesn't have a PCIe slot. Just 3 PCI slots. The HD2400 is your best bet.

1- What is the computer model number ? 2 -What are the power supply specs? 3- Did you check the expansion slots? Is there actually a PCIe slot.

24 pin in the middle is a pain, but still workable. I was on the verge of cutting an opening directly in front of the 24 pin on the motherboard. But opted out. this was a build for a friend, but let me tell you, On my next build I don't even want to see one cable longer than an inch...

Post a link to one of the local shops. We'll see if they have some quality ram. If not, then any DDR2 800 will do for the overclock you're looking for.

Been running mine for a year+ @ 1050. No issues. As long as they use D9 chips (like your Patriot ram) with the voltage @ 2.1, then all is good. If you set your timings to 5-5-5-12\15, you can easily reach 1066 stable.

It would be helpful to know what motherboard model you have.

11x is stock for the e2200. Multi can be lowered, as with most Core2's, but not raised above stock. In your case 11. Your overclock is due to the raised FSB. Stock is 200x11= 2200. You could probably push it higher if you have good cooling. You should easily be able to clock your Q6600 to 3GHz...
