Hi, My Acer aspire 5551 has been reformatted, and everything is working OK, apart from when I unplug the battery, the display changes it's "contrast" and is very light (still maintaining the brightness of the power plan though). Can you suggest a cure, please? Thanks

Thank you, but I don't think the fact that the PC is booting up slowly is as a result of me not having a SSD. I've been using HDD's for a ling time, and recently got this (Januaury) and only a lately has it taken ages to boot past the BIOS. Any other help would be appreciated.

Actually, I tell a lie! I'm almost certain it isn't the HDD, as it's only a few month's old, and is a Western Digital one...! I suppose prior to Windows, it's slow i.e. BIOS, and once into windows it's fine....apart from the sleep issue....

Right....My folders are on the 1TB HDD, along with Windows XP. On my other HDD (with NO documents on) is Windows 7. I want to be able to retain the documents on the 1TB HDD. Delete Windows XP + Programmes etc.

Hi I have a number of programes (FSX, Adobe Audition to name two) which when I start them, they revert the system into Windows basic - which I don't like!! Is there any way of preventing them from running in the basic mode, and staying in the 'Professional' mode etc? Thank you.
