Review Adata XPG SX8200 Pro Review: Go Pro on a Budget

Yes mine seems to be different from review units also, but it doesn't seem to affect performance.

FAN PROBLEM MAYBE?? SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 Dual X with Boost

And just to be clear for future reference for everyone. The reason I know its not supposed to be like this is because both fans on this card plug into the same power header on the PCB. A fans RPMs are controlled by voltage. Lower voltage = Lower RPMs. Higher voltage = Higher RPMs. So if both...

FAN PROBLEM MAYBE?? SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 Dual X with Boost

LaMuerte, That's great that you at least got your answer. BTW: If that card has Hynix memory and you're an overclocker, I'd think twice before exchanging it and just grab a new fan for it, because its worth the extra few $$ you'll spend. In case you don't know Hynix memory overclocks way better...

FAN PROBLEM MAYBE?? SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 Dual X with Boost

Its very easy on these cards, the Fan shroud comes right off and is very easy to separate from the heat-sink, so no need to remove heat-sink like you'd have to on some GPUs. Then you just measure the fans to be sure you get the right size and do a search for replacement 7950 Dual-X fans. BE SURE...

FAN PROBLEM MAYBE?? SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 Dual X with Boost

Seriously, he would know if it was modded to have both fans controlled separately. Because the Dual-X's PCB only has one fan header on it. In order to have only one fan controlled by temp and the other not, it would have to have each fan on its own power source. So he'd have a power cable...

FAN PROBLEM MAYBE?? SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 Dual X with Boost

He never said it was modded and posted a pic of one completely stock with the Sapphire Dual-X cooler. Its ok though, its clear you're just one of those who feels its an argument and you have to win. YOU WIN! Tell the guy whatever you want, don't bother giving him accurate info just so you can...

FAN PROBLEM MAYBE?? SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 Dual X with Boost

Its not possible. Both fans on a Sapphire 7950 Dual-X are powered together using the same header. If the fans are being controlled by software, it would affect both fans the same. The actual card would have to have been modded with aftermarket fans that are powered/controlled separate.

FAN PROBLEM MAYBE?? SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 Dual X with Boost

Zero core and intelligent fan control are two different things. Zero core is AMDs own power saving feature that is used with all AMD CGN GPUs. Zero core doesn't shut down just one of the fans on a single 7950 Dual-x at all. If using a single GPU and the pc goes into a low power state, then...

FAN PROBLEM MAYBE?? SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 Dual X with Boost

The Sapphire 7950 Dual-X cards do not have Sapphire's "intelligent fan control" feature using a single card. Both fans on the card should spin all the time. The only Sapphire Card that uses intelligent fan control to turn off UN-needed fans at idle is the Vapor-X which runs just one of its 3...

    Sapphire Vapor-X R9 290 idling at 52C

Not sure why you quoted me on the fans...what I meant was the HAF-X comes with a GPU fan shroud that you put a fan inside that blows air directly over the GPU's. (see 4:09 in the video above) But the Tri-X and Vapor-X are a little too long for the shroud to fit, so I mounted two fans there...

    Sapphire Vapor-X R9 290 idling at 52C

Had to remove my VGA fan/shroud when I got my Tri-x...darn thing is long! LOL So I mounted two fans where the shroud usually goes....so I lost one fan and added two....works for me.
