The idle power consumption seems totally insane! 90 W?? I'm using RTX 3060 on Linux and my idle consumption for the GPU is 14-15 W and even that feels too high when the rest of whole desktop system needs about the same while idling.

You have to remember that this game was designed for humans and the UI is result of a lot of playtesting with actual humans. Imagine a human trying to play a game originally optimized for a robot!

I agree. Samsung 970 Pro was a very good product, albeit quite expensive. I hope this 990 Pro would actually match the 970 Pro unlike the 980 series. (Looking at random 4K read performance with shallow queue depth, especially QD1 and QD2...)

I think the problem is that they were over-promising and fixed the price to high. Intel 905P is still hands down the best drive I've ever used but they should still market it as a really fast SSD only. They current keep saying that it's not an SSD so it will not be included in most SSD reviews...
