Monitor goes black when I plug in elgato. I am running a dual pc setup I think my pc is trying to use my elgato as the main display. How can I fix if the display is black?

[SOLVED] dual pc elgato issue

When I plug my elgato in via HDMI my monitor display goes black. I'm thinking it's because my pc is recognizing my elgato as the main display, but how can I fix that if my monitor is black?
