It wouldn't do anything bad. All it would do is slightly increase the airflow because it's AF fans that have more CFM combined with SP fans that give additional static pressure. It's perfectly fine to do so.

You can switch out the 770 for a 7970GHz edition. That will cut costs by about 100$ without sacrificing very much performance. A cheaper case and power supply would also cut costs.

My guess is that the system requirements assume that you're buying a store-bought computer, and that an i7 computer is higher end and therefore more likely to have the required power. Your system is entirely fine for gaming.

Yes. You should get a better graphics card, say a 7870 GHz Edition and an AMD FX-6300 though for better gaming performance. (Remember, it's the graphics card that counts!)

Go into CCC/ AMD Vision Engine Control Center, go into display options and then adjust the overscan/ underscan. Doing so should fix your problem.
