    Gtx 1060 3gb or gtx 1050ti even if bottlenecked a little with i5 3470

I know its not a k series processor but till ivy bridge you could tweak the clock speeds a bit using intel oc software but I have left it to 3.2ghz and at 100 percent load it reaches about 65 degrees so that’s pretty acceptable. What I understood from this thread is that I should buy the 1060...

    Gtx 1060 3gb or gtx 1050ti even if bottlenecked a little with i5 3470

I have an i5 3470 which i can overclock a little but I don’t. Budget is strictly under $250 and the gpus are rarely available at the prices they are now. Gtx 1050ti $195 and gtx 1060 is $255. So i want to game at 1080p and I know I will get bottlenecks if I buy the 1060 and it has less vram but...

Can my psu run gtx 1050

Yes they use the same power but don't buy a 1050, buy a 1050ti as it is better value

I am on $800 budget to build a custom PC (including buying monitor with $800).

I know it's terrible. I would have included a 1060 but their nowhere to be found.

    Help upgrading pc

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/xZF2Cy This build will be much better even if you have to spend a bit more. Maxed out 1080p and 1440p gaming and a ryzen for rendering. Trust me you wont regret it. And keep an eye out for any rx 580 as they are much better than a 1060

Looking for help with new PC build

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bf4fBP This is a way more well balanced build and it includes the best of the best peripherals and a decent 1440p 144hz monitor.

Wtf this build for 1080p? Ill give you a more reasonable parts list. Since you're only using this for gaming I'll go with an i7 7700k
