Yeah normally i try it on the motherboard box. Sometimes it works. Or if the motherboard Is touching metal inside the case somehow. It happens. Happened alot to me. . Give it a shot and let us know.

Hello! When you checked playback devices was the HDMI Audio Out selected set as "Default Device"? Normally it's just that you plug it in and it works. You may need to install different drivers for audio to work. You are connecting to the monitor from a desktop right i'm guessing?
