    Question TV picture not working.

    I recently got an LG TV (for free) that the guy had taken apart to re-glue the plastic pieces that diffuse the backlight, and when he put it back together, the picture looked like the attached image. any ideas whats broken? I don;t know where to even start...

    On an HP laptop, when the battery is in it, it will be on for a minute then it makes a popping sound and instantly dies. But if I take the battery out and run it on the cord it runs fine, do I just need a new battery?
