You answered your own question, if you want to control the RGB function, you need to connect the RGB header to the RGB header on the mobo.

you could make a bootable memtest USB stick or cd and try to run that on the memory, sounds like it might take awhile to get it to boot so you can run the test though, i would try to find different memory to test with, hopefully you have friends or family to borrow from so you don't have to buy...

Are you loading the memory profile or leaving it as is? Does the BIOS remember your settings when it does boot or is loading defaults? I would try the memory one stick at a time and see if anything changes.

It will not, you will still need to at least pick a speed profile from the BIOS or enter the settings manually, otherwise it will most likely run at 2133 MHz.

Best guess would be you need to use the HDMI to get 5.1 or 7.1 as the audio jacks are just labeled as line in and out and Mic in. checked the website and the manual doesn't have any info about it either.

you could also swap out the CPU for a Athlon x4 and overclock the hell out of it since you have a graphics card now, the athlon x4's are dirt cheap now that Ryzen is out.
