I would say get the i7 if you plan to do any design work later on. If you dont think you will stick to the i5 and oc the thing.

Check your CPU usage with the OSD in MSI Afterburner while gaming.

Perhaps you didnt apply the thermal pads on the vrm's ? Just a thought.

Nevermind solved the problem by unplugging the header on the motherboard and re-plugging it did the trick, maybe the wiring was a little wonky.

Hi all, before anyone ask if I had tried on another device, I did and both sides work perfectly fine. On my pc the rear headphone jack works but on the front only 1 side outputs sound. I tried reinstalling the drivers and it did not work. So how should I proceed with this?

I did try it with a different cable before rma and it was to no avail. Anyway I should expect to receive a replacement unit in 1 to 2 weeks time.

Turns out that cable was bad. Switched it out to an older cable and it is not producing anymore red lines. I probably should ask if the cable could have caused my GPU's HDMI port to go dead?

Ok I reinstalled the latest drivers. Doesn't work, will use a different hdmi cable later to test it out. Because using the gpu to output and it was fine before this so I don't see how my monitor is DOA. I also restored my OC to stock settings to eliminate that factor and it did not work either.

Just to add the components I have are brand new and has been sitting in my system for over 2 weeks now.
