The Evga card that I am looking at is the 1660ti Xc black gaming however I am a bit skeptical about the single fan cooler, just wanted to confirm if that won’t cause any problems and also whats the deal with gpu backplates ?are they necessary or do they impact performance in any way?

I have an option of getting a i3 8100 and pairing it will 16 go ram is that a better option than a 2600 with 8gb ram ?

i found a deal on microcentre with a 1600 for 128 dollars with a mobo but they all went out of stock so my options have become a little limited
