    RX 480 is running hot

Good just remember that you can set the speed to control the temps especially during the summer months ;)

Budget video card to play Fallout 4?

What is your budget and what model is that psu? If this system is from the mid to late 2000s just like that card you need to do a little research mainly as just buying a card might not give you the fps you need.

    RX 480 is running hot

Bumps that up and go from there, I am one of those people that prefers manual control to manage the temps better.

    RX 480 is running hot

People in northern climates live in a freezer so naturally they get better temps, just up the fan speed a little if the load temps get into the 80s. If you are in a northern freezer climate and doing 60c idle you need to check things like air flow in the case ect. The real problem with these...

Do I need to get an aftermarket cooler for gtx 970

Personally I would but that is me, if your temps are good (whole card and not just the core) then just give overclocking a try. The real cause of unstable overclocking is the rest of the card getting hot while people only focus on the core temps, people practically yolo it then wonder why their...

AMD Radeon RX 470 Reference vs Custom

A few weeks but just be ready to snipe on Newegg or Amazon as they will sell out quickly as usual. I love custom hardware especially limited edition stuff ;)

AMD Radeon RX 470 Reference vs Custom

Go custom even if it costs more as you will be getting a higher quality of card with better overall lower temps vs the noisy reference model. Lower vrm temps is a huge bonus as the card has a much better chance of lasting long enough to be replaced by upgrading rather than failure.

[Solved] Panic, please help (GTX 1080 freezes new PC)

You got artifacts under load on a prebuilt system so my advice is to contact customer support and rma the card. I know this sort of fault and it is progressive failure when the gpu isn't getting the power it needs from the vrms. This sort of failure normally occurs on older cards that have seen...

    COMBINE BRAND Graphics card

Yea you can sli two gtx 690 and get a boost but SLI is slowly going the way of 3DFX and probably will be gone in a few years altogether unless some things change. As for the board you want two 16x slots as there are really two gpus per card and you want all the bandwidth you can get since they...

GPU not detected after windows 10 update

Honestly I feel like dumping 10 for a while and going back to 7, not even Vista caused issues like this. MS has a ways to go with 10 before it becomes good enough for the rest of us to switch over. Certainly don't want 10 on a forensics workstation! Nvidia has really dropped the ball with...

    Baking a Video Card

If your toaster oven isn't a cheap pos and do 400 fahrenheit then go for it, just make sure to clean the card before hand and make sure the problem isn't just bad temps before baking it. Baking is a very hit or miss and should only be done as a last resort. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes max and let...

How bad will my i5-2320 bottleneck amd 480 or GTX 1060?

Performance difference between Sandy Bridge and IVY Bridge is almost zero so don't worry about that, your cpu is ok for mid range cards like the 1060. If you can look around for something unlocked to get a few more years out of the build instead of "wasting" money for a current gen build or go...

Is it always beneficial to get a better graphics card, or is performance capped by your processor?

If you want a good 1060 get a non reference model for reasons other than just performance, I really do not like the design of the reference 1060 and the vrm is pretty lean. If you live in a hot climate definitely get a custom model. Someone has already done a review on youtube using a i5 750...
