Not sure, just thought it was worth spreading the article to warn anyone that might be effected of potential data loss. Thought it was reprehensible that Crucial refused the guy (that posted it originally) the patch on the grounds that his was out of warranty! Imagine if OS manufacturer's did...

Here's an interesting article about pre 2016 Crucial SSD drives, the author of the link had asked Crucial for the patch they'd allegedly written to fix his drive and was told he was 'out if warranty' and refused. Needlessly to say they lost a customer...

I'd ask them ;-) Trust me, they know A LOT more than I do about it;-)
