Question PC Wont Post after upgrading to a ryzen 7 5800x

It's also possible you might have had a short, or something was partially connected or pinched that caused it not to post, and taking it apart fixed it.

Question PC Wont Post after upgrading to a ryzen 7 5800x

Well its good that its working now. I would hook up one thing at a time and turn it on and see if it posts. Keep doing that until it doesn't post, then you've found your culprit.

Question PC Wont Post after upgrading to a ryzen 7 5800x

Ok unplug/remove anything that the pc doesn't need to post: expansion cards (other than your 2060, if you have them), hard drives, ssds, usb and front panel audio cables, etc. Would you happen to have another set of ram or another AM4 CPU?

Since you're down to one ram stick, have you tried it with a different stick?

    Looking for a quality/reasonably priced 1440p (2K), 144hz monitor

I am using an ASUS PB277Q: 1440p, TN Panel, 75Hz, 1ms response time, VESA compatible. I am very happy with it. Usually goes for $310-$320. Considerably less than the Dell S2417DG, which has a smaller display than the ASUS, and is ~$70 more expensive.

Can you help me with choosing a Graphics Card?

The 1050 would be a better choice. Even if you upgraded the power supply, you're going to have a problem with temperature. That case has inadequate airflow for any 80 series card.

do i need a cpu cooler

Yes you will need a cooler. Even if you're not overclocking, the Intel stock cooler is crap. Normally I would recommend a Hyper 212 EVO, but that won't fit in your case. The TX3 EVO would be a good choice. More cooling capability than the Alpine 11, MUCH better than the stock cooler, and if you...

    Help choosing a new Motherboard

Since the availability of new X79 motherboards are next to nothing at this point because of their age, if you can afford an upgrade right now, I'd go for a new X99 board with a Haswell-E or Broadwell-E CPU. If you are willing to buy used, there are a few X79 boards available. Like these ...

    Recovering Data from Raw Partition.

No dice. "USB Device Not Recognized" My initial suspicion that the auxiliary hardware that is inside the case is bad seems to be true. Anything else you can think of?

    Recovering Data from Raw Partition.

So I have a very interesting problem. I have a 3TB Buffalo External Hard Drive that seems to have crapped out on me. I plugged it in, and Windows wouldn't detect it, but the drive was spinning. I decided to take the drive out of the case and put in my PC to try and fix it. It's listed in My...

    GTX 680 vs AMD 7970

Hi. I'm planning on doing some upgrading to my homemade gaming PC, and I wanted some suggestions on which graphics card to use. My budget is around $400. After some looking around on the internet I've settled either a GTX 680 or an AMD 7970, but I can't decide on which one to use because...
