So by your suggestion those nvidia features will eliminate the tearing (above 60 fps which is more likely to happen with a gtx 1080 on 1080p). Then what would be the point of buying a monitor with g sync for more money if nvidia anyway offers features that basically almost do the same job?

Not asking about the system, I'm asking if there will be a fps bottleneck and the conseguent screen tearing. Will I notice it much?

Is the g-sync feature really important? Normal 2k 144 hz monitors(even the freensync ones) without gsync are really less expensive. Is it worth the bucks?

Yeah that's what I'm saying. I mean is it really a smart thing to buy a 4k monitor but then play at 2k and be stuck at 60hz or is better a 2k 144 hz monitor? Or maybe buy a 4k 60 hz for the future?

But if I buy a 4k monitor and play on 2k resolution is there any problem?

I ve just checked on Amazon about 4k monitors 60hz and they aren't really that expensive. Price range from 300 to 500 euros. Should I buy one of them or a 2k?

Thanks for ram clarification. Anyway I still don't get it. Yeah of course I know 2k and 4k are resolutions, and the hertz is the refresh rate of the screen, but for example in those builds what monitor would be good? A 2k 144 hz or something like that?

Thanks for your reply. Anyway are you sure about the combo Intel+the mobo? I mean is it really future proof? That i7 has slightly better performance than a ryzen 2700x and am4 mobo's are guaranteed till 2020 at least. Just asking if it's worth the more money for Intel
