This is getting out of hand. No videocard is worth more than a thousand dollars. I'm not buying these cards for the few frames more they promise. After so many years I'm going to have to ditch nvidia with a heavy heart. Perhaps I'll give intel a try.

If only they could get that 6080 in to that 200-250w sweet spot, that would really be nice. 1080 is about 180w if I remember, so a 140w bump between generations is maybe not that extreme but still, it's a lot. I really need to start looking into idle powers soon because my card is getting up...

TDP will decide if I upgrade. On the 1080 they got everything together. Decent size, great performance. These super high wattage cards are just ridiculous.

I wonder why... actually no I don't. Insane prices, insane TDP's, crypto crash, energy crisis... (Not that I believe the latter) The fact that any decent last gen card can play any game at the highest settings... (Same with processors really) I haven't upgraded since the 1080 and I'm only now...
